Where is your rescue?

Marie Riene, turn west onto TWP Rd 820, go a mile and a bit and you will see our sign on the left side of the road.

What are your hours?

We are open six days, closed on Wednesdays.
Ours hours of operation are 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

How can I meet the animal?

You can call the number listed on the pet you are inquiring about. From there the two of you will make a convenient arrangement.

How do I adopt a pet?

First off fill in an application on your desired pet. Once approved you will receive a phone call and arrangements will be made for you to meet your potential new pet.

How long does it take to hear back from the Rescue?

Usually within 24 hours but please note that emergencies arise that we may have to cancel short notice.

How will I know if I am approved?

We will call you and let you know you are approved

Who approves my application to adopt?

Cheryl B, Sheryl W and some of our fosters in other locations

What are your adoption fees?

$300 for puppies who have not been neutered or spayed, $350 for Adult dogs.

What do your adoption fees include?

For puppies it includes the first shots up to 3 shots depending on how long they are in foster. For adult dogs it includes spay/neuter, microchip, shots.

What forms of payment do you take?

Cash, E-Transfer,

How long does the adoption process take?

Approximately 1 week.

Once my application has been approved, can I take the dog or cat home with me the same day the initial viewing has been arranged?

Yes

How long do you keep my application?

6 months

Can I adopt a pet as a gift?

No

How do I get started fostering?

Flll out application form

What will I need to do as a foster?

You provide daily care of the animal, meeting potential adopters, fill out adoption papers

What if I already have a pet?

That is ok, as long as your pet is up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered.

Do I have to be home with the animal all day?

No but it will be beneficial with house training puppies

What if I want to travel?

As long as you give us about 2 weeks notice we can find a back up foster.

Will I become attached to my foster pet?

Most likely yes.

Can I get a tax receipt for donations?

Yes. If your donation is over $25 we can issue you a tax receipt.

Do you take non-monetary donations?

Yes. We have a wish list and donation locations all over the Peace Country.
